ALKU Department of Genetics and Bioengineering - Program Educational Objectives (PEOs)

PEO1. Graduates of the Genetics and Bioengineering Program develop innovative solutions in healthcare and biotechnology by applying their knowledge of genetics and bioengineering.

PEO2. Our graduates work effectively and assume leadership roles in multidisciplinary teams within the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, medical device, and related industries.

PEO3. Our graduates embrace lifelong learning and a culture of research in the rapidly evolving fields of biotechnology and life sciences, pursuing graduate studies and/or continuing professional development.

PEO4. Our graduates actively contribute to projects that integrate molecular biology, genetics, and engineering principles to understand and engineer biological systems.

PEO5. Our graduates conduct their professional careers with a strong commitment to ethical values and social responsibility, developing sustainable solutions while considering the environmental, health, and global impacts of genetics and bioengineering practices.
